SNOOKYville, hidden gem of CAMBODJE.

1-30

Snookyville or better known as sihanoukville is truly a hidden gem of Cambodia. I honestly thought that no beaches in SE asia could be better than Koh Samui or Pandawa in Bali, wait till you step on OTRES. 🙂

If you are an admirer of the Sun, Sand & Sea than Sihanoukville is truly the place to go. Just 2 hours outside the capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh lies a booming “party” town. Known for its night life the golden lions has definitely made its name heard to the eyes of the world. It is a city flanked by an almost uninterrupted string of beaches along its entire coastline and coastal marshlands bordering the Ream National Park in the East. Accompanied by a few thinly inhabited Islands.

Sihanoukville’s beaches are one of the city’s most valuable ecological and economic resource with varying degrees of commercial exploitation.

The accommodations there was cheap and service was amazing. I opted to stay at in a resort that wasn’t that cheap but was the highlight of my trip. It was a french owned Hotel. Owners were very helpful and tentative and it really felt like paradise.

TAMU HOTEL. 5 FOOTSTEPS AWAY TO OTRES BEACH!

A number of thinly inhabited islands under Sihanoukville’s administration.

  • KOH RONG
  • KOH RONG SANLOEM
  • KOH KOANG KANG
  • KOH KOUN
  • KOH TUICH
  • KOH POS
  • KOH DEK KOUL
  • SONG SAA ISLAND

It takes only 50 bucks to hire a boat with a driver to visit these islands for a whole day trip. Having baguettes and a beer in hand on islands where there’s only you and your partner. hmmmm.. Well thats a sight to behold.

Siem Reap, Cambodia (CAMBODJE)

Well here goes my first actual Travel Post.

Cambodia as we know or some might not know is still pretty much a growing third world country. But its beauty is in no where near growing, a country full of lush greeneries, polite citizens and amazing rich history it has to definitely be in one of your lists of destinations to travel to.

There is just that particular aura that pulls you, the allure that third world south east asian countries have. Countries like Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia.

Sunsets, well who doesn’t love them.

Well the main reason for my visit to Cambodia was actually Angkor Wat, one of the wonders of the world and is the world’s largest religious monument.

The Great ANGKOR WAT.

The very moment i stepped into the Angkor Temples, its as if an immediate feeling of peace and tranquility drowned me. Despite the many tourists around, you could always wander by yourself and find a quiet spot where you can just sit by yourself light a cigarette and chill. It’s rich ancient history backed by its amazing architecture was a joy to learn of.

Those were some of the Shots that i took of the temples in the park.

All in all it was an amazing experience to have visited the Angkor Wat. I might return one day definitely, not once did i felt bored when i was there, it just kept pulling me in and if not for the opening hours i would have been there longer. 🙂 I got the 3 day pass and used up every single day of it, plus we did the flight of the gibbon there in the park, fun ziplining action. 🙂

Bonjour, la première partie

Thames, London.

Good day, this is the first ever post on my first ever attempt to a travel/music blog. But basically it’s just a medium for me to share my travels and experiences. Promise its not gonna be a ranting page. 🙂

Well let me kickstart a bit on myself here, i’m an art graduate from LASALLE COLLEGE OF THE ARTS i wont call myself an artist though but i unconditionally love art in each of its dazzling forms and attractive ways.

Travel,  i wont call it a hobby or an interest of mine. Its love which in a way accumulates to knowledge. Every single travels, every single stamps on the passport and every different cities or countries i have learnt to understand and respect the different cultures and ways of other societies around the world and that has opened my mind to a whole new different level. It excites me to try out food from Thailand or the crazy traffic of Saigon or the gondola in Venice and the metro of Paris.

Music & Photography though is a whole different story. its my Adam & Eve.
